November 2020
Greetings, fellow horror freak…
It is I once again, your trusty and dedicated horror-writing friend.
I must admit that when I started these blog posts I harboured some concern that I wouldn’t have anything to tell you about each month. What would these rambling rants consist of? How many times I ordered a pizza during the last month? How many scratches my wondrous-but-slightly-psychotic kitten has issued forth unto me of late? Well, there’s no way I’m imparting the true answer to the former, and letting slip the latter’s answer will only anger the little beast further. Luckily, there seems to have been a steady stream of news for you since I started these blogs, and this month is no different.
First off, last weekend saw my first ever live interview with the awesome fantasy author Skye Horn. Not only was this a great opportunity to talk all things horror, but also to introduce myself properly to the wonderful online communities in which I’ve been establishing myself this past year. Oh, and I read two of my most twisted flash fictions live. If you have the stomach for it, feel free to catch up on our chat HERE.
In other news, the same two short pieces have been included in the Halloween bumper issue of The Sirens Call, a publication I very much admire, and it’s a tremendous honour to be included alongside the kind of names they curate. Click HERE to gain free access to the eZine where you can read my probably-going-a-bit-too-far stories, as well as work from the other brilliant featured writers.
Finally, I’m happy to inform you lovely horror freaks that today I officially signed the contract for the publication of my novella THE LAST TESTAMENT OF CRIGHTON SMYTHE, slated for release in print and ebook on 30th April 2021. Expect previews of the novella in the months leading up to its release, and sign up to my newsletter via the contact page to be entered into giveaway competitions for a free copy.
Well, that’s about all for now. Do find me on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter (and, as of this month, Goodreads) so you can be privy to another announcement in the coming days. No, I’ve not killed a man, but it’s still pretty rad.
Once again, my overflowing love to you all for your support. It means the world to me.
Stay safe, and have a goddamned terrifying Halloween.
